Home sick

You know your child is sick when they wake you up in the middle of the night to tell you that the Motrin has worn out and suggests that we not go to church in the morning. So as a result we are grounded for the day. Poor Alexis, she has been batteling with this stinker now off and on for a couple of weeks. But between her, Chelsey, Scott, and I (Kendra is the only healthy one) we are quickly going through a Costco size amount of tissues. (I never buy that much tissues!)

However, with all of this I must say that yesterday was actually a very nice day around the house. The girls got to spend the night at the Madson home the night before, so they were in high spirits (in between the cough). The weather was nice so we were all in and out going for walks and going across the street to the park. We played games, read books, did some extra cleaning and cooking together...We had dinner, took baths, cleaned up from the day together, had dessert and went to bed. Honestly it was such a calm, pleasant, and productive day; ...those don't come around all that often! LOL!
